 The Painthouse Featured Artist Residency is a curated opportunity designed for emerging and established artists who are passionate about teaching, creating meaningful experiences, and growing their audience.

Inspired by the incredible response to our guest artist workshops, this residency was created to provide artists with a professional platform to share their talent, connect with the community, and earn income doing what they love.

Whether you’re a watercolor artist, acrylic painter, mixed media artist, illustrator, or creative educator, we invite you to apply and become part of our growing creative community.

Featured Event Promotion

Your name and event will be promoted across The Painthouse Art & Sip’s social media platforms and email marketing campaigns.

Studio Hosting & Supplies

We provide the space, standard supplies, and setup support so you can focus on delivering an incredible experience.

Full Bar Available

Guests can enjoy our full-service bar featuring wine, liquor, cocktails, mocktails, dirty sodas, and espresso drinks during events.

Marketing Support

We handle booking management, event graphics, email marketing, and registration through our platform.

Creative Community

Connect with a growing network of artists, makers, and art lovers while expanding your reach.

Lead classes, inspire creativity, build your audience, and earn compensation based on attendance.

 A minimum of 5 registered guests is required for an event to move forward.

• 5–10 Guests: $50
• 11–15 Guests: $125
• 16–20 Guests: $150
• 21–25 Guests: $175
• Sold Out (26 Guests): $200

Compensation varies based on attendance and is paid within an agreed-upon timeframe following the event.

Residency Artists are expected to:

Create an Original Experience

Design a unique workshop, class, or creative experience that aligns with The Painthouse Art & Sip brand.

Promote Their Event

Social media participation is required.

Artists should actively promote their event through their social media channels and personal network. Strong attendance comes from collaboration between the artist and The Painthouse.

Lead the Event

Artists are responsible for teaching and facilitating a positive, engaging, and welcoming experience for guests.

Arrive Prepared

Artists should arrive early, be organized, and be ready to lead their event professionally.

 The Featured Artist Residency is more than a one-time class.

 Do I need teaching experience?

No. Teaching experience is helpful, but passion, professionalism, and a great concept are equally important.

What types of classes are accepted?

Watercolor, acrylic painting, mixed media, illustration, seasonal workshops, specialty art projects, and other creative experiences may be considered.

Do I need to provide supplies?

No. Standard class supplies are provided by The Painthouse Art & Sip.

How many classes will I teach?

Residency opportunities vary based on scheduling, demand, and fit. Selected artists may be invited to host one or more events.

Is there a cost to apply?

No. Applications are free.
